Hand exoskeletons, and related control interfaces also for telerobotic applications

This activity is carried out by two departments of the University of Florence (DIEF and DINFO), the University of Siena and the companies Medea and Orthokey. The University of Florence is focused on the development of preliminary versions of fully wearable and portable hand exoskeletons aimed at rehabilitative and assistive applications and a multi-criteria decision analysis to guide the introduction of hand exoskeleton systems in post-stroke physiotherapy processes. UNIFI collaborates with Orthokey towards the development of combined multirobot system for rehabilitation consisting of an exoskeleton and a collaborative robot arm. Medea, starting from the technologies being developed, performs an analysis of the reference ecosystem to maximize the feasibility and impact of the solution to be developed.
